Role Overview:
We are seeking a Data Center Domain Expert to bridge the gap between our advanced software solutions and the practical realities of data center design, construction, and operations. This pivotal role will serve as the voice of the industry within RDA, ensuring our products align with customer needs and industry standards, while strengthening our credibility with clients and driving impactful product innovation.
Job Scope / What You'll Do:
* **Industry Expertise & Solution Alignment:**
* Serve as the subject matter expert on the data center lifecycle — from site selection and design, to construction, operations, and maintenance.
* Advise the product team on operational constraints, compliance requirements, and best practices in cooling, power management, and energy efficiency.
* Translate complex operational needs into clear product features, compelling use cases, and robust solution blueprints for our AI-driven platform.
* **Customer Engagement & Technical Authority:**
* Act as the trusted advisor to customers, demonstrating deep understanding of their operational challenges and articulating the value of RDA's solutions.
* Support sales and business development teams during critical customer meetings, presentations, and proposal development.
* Build and nurture strong relationships with key stakeholders, including data center operators, facility managers, and engineering teams at client sites.
* **Collaboration with Internal Teams:**
* Partner closely with AI/Engineering teams to integrate real-world operational knowledge into the design and development of RDA’s cutting-edge software solutions.
* Provide essential feedback loops from customer deployments to continuously improve product relevance, usability, and performance.
* Actively participate in solution testing, validation, and performance evaluation, including on-site engagements at customer facilities.
* **Industry Representation:**
* Represent RDA at prominent industry events, conferences, and technical workshops, enhancing the company's visibility and thought leadership.
* Contribute to the development and dissemination of whitepapers, case studies, and technical guides, showcasing best practices and innovation in data center management.
Requirements / Who You Are:
* **Minimum/Core Requirements:**
* 10+ years of extensive experience in data center operations, engineering, or design (within colocation, enterprise, or hyperscale environments).
* Proven hands-on expertise in critical data center systems, including cooling systems (CRAH/CRAC, liquid cooling), power systems, capacity planning, and relevant software tools.
* Strong understanding of key industry standards such as Uptime Institute guidelines, ASHRAE guidelines, and regional regulatory requirements.
* A demonstrated track record of success in improving energy efficiency, reliability, and overall operational resilience in data centers.
* Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging both highly technical and executive-level stakeholders with clarity and credibility.
* Eligible for Singapore Citizen, Singapore PR, or Employment Pass (EP) sponsorship.
* **Preferred/Bonus Requirements:**
* Experience collaborating directly with software or AI teams to develop operational tools or analytics platforms.
* Familiarity with Digital Twin technology, CFD simulations, or AI-based optimization systems.
* Possession of relevant industry certifications (e.g., CDCP, CDCS, CDCE, Uptime ATS/CTS, or equivalent).
