Job Description
- **Location**: Delhi, India or Singapore
- **Company Overview**:
- Cialfo is a mission-driven global ed-tech platform on a journey to make education accessible to 100 million students. Since our launch in 2017, we have become a leading bridge between students, K-12 institutions, and higher education providers worldwide.
- We are one of the region’s fastest-growing startups, operating across 14 countries. At Cialfo, we value innovation, empathy, and operational excellence as we scale our technology-driven solutions to empower the next generation of global learners.
- **Role Overview**:
- As the Senior Talent Operations Manager, you will take the steering wheel of our global people operations. Reporting to the VP of Talent, you will lead a dedicated team to standardize and scale our HR infrastructure across 14 countries. This is a "builder" role designed for a hands-on leader who can harmonize complex global operations while personally optimizing the technical systems that power our employee experience.
- **Key Responsibilities**:
- **Lead and Elevate the Talent Ops Team**: Provide direct leadership and mentorship to a team of people operations professionals, moving from a reactive model to a proactive, standardized delivery excellence model.
- **Architect Global Operational Frameworks**: Establish the "Cialfo Standard" for the entire employee lifecycle—including onboarding, transfers, and offboarding—ensuring a seamless and consistent experience across multiple direct entities and Employer of Record (EOR) setups.
- **Own and Optimize HR Systems**: Act as the functional owner for our HRIS (HiBob) and Microsoft 365 ecosystem. You will personally design and configure automated workflows to improve data integrity, processing speed, and scalability.
- **Drive Global Compliance and Governance**: Maintain a solid grasp of employment laws across multiple jurisdictions (including India, Singapore, and the UK), harmonizing fragmented policies and ensuring all regional operations remain fully compliant.
- **Manage Strategic Vendor Relationships**: Oversee key partnerships with payroll providers, insurance brokers, and EOR vendors across 10+ countries, ensuring high service levels and operational accuracy.
- **Deliver Data-Driven Insights**: Build and oversee workforce reporting and analytics to provide leadership with actionable data on headcount, attrition, and engagement trends.
- **Requirements**:
- **Minimum/Core Requirements**:
- Demonstrated experience managing HR operations across multiple countries, specifically including India and at least one other major region (e.g., Singapore, UK, or Europe).
- Proven track record in a leadership role, with experience managing and developing a team of direct reports.
- Advanced proficiency in modern HRIS platforms (e.g., HiBob, Workday, or similar) with the ability to personally configure and troubleshoot system workflows.
- Deep understanding of employment regulations and compliance frameworks across various international jurisdictions.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to partner effectively with Finance, Legal, and IT functions.
- A "builder" mindset—you are comfortable alternating between high-level strategy and the detailed "plumbing" of HR processes and data management.
- **Preferred/Bonus Requirements**:
- Experience in a high-growth SaaS or technology startup environment.
- Familiarity with the Microsoft 365 suite (Teams, Power BI) for HR analytics and productivity.
- Experience managing HR transitions, entity setups, or policy harmonization projects.
- **Why you should be interested**:
- **Foundational Impact**: You have the mandate to build the definitive global playbook for a scaling ed-tech leader. Your work will directly shape the operational foundation for hundreds of employees worldwide.
- **High Autonomy & Visibility**: Working closely with the VP of Talent, you will have the independence to choose the tools and design the processes that will support Cialfo’s next phase of growth.
- **Complex Global Challenge**: Manage a truly international footprint, navigating the nuances of 14 different countries while solving sophisticated operational puzzles.
- **Growth-Centric Culture**: Join a team that values empathy and professional development, offering you the platform to grow your scope as the company continues to expand its global impact.
Ready to build the future of global talent operations? We’d love to hear from you.
