- **Role Overview**:
- As a Cashier, you are the final point of contact in the customer’s journey, ensuring a seamless and positive checkout experience. You will manage high-volume transactions, handle diverse payment modes, and maintain the highest standards of accuracy and professionalism in our Changi Airport outlets.
- **Key Responsibilities**:
- **Deliver Seamless Transactions**: Process customer purchases efficiently using our POS system, handling various payment methods including cash, credit cards, digital wallets, and multiple foreign currencies.
- **Ensure Regulatory Compliance**: Strictly adhere to Singapore regulatory requirements, including age verification for the sale of liquor and tobacco products, and ensure all transactions comply with customs and duty-free regulations.
- **Provide Exceptional Service**: Greet every traveler with professionalism, assist with inquiries regarding promotions or tax-free procedures, and resolve any checkout-related concerns to ensure a pleasant shopping experience.
- **Maintain Operational Excellence**: Keep the checkout area organized and tidy, manage till reconciliations with high precision, and report any discrepancies to the Retail Manager at the end of each shift.
- **Drive Sales & Promotions**: Stay updated on the latest store promotions and membership benefits to accurately apply discounts and encourage customer participation in loyalty programs.
- **Requirements**:
- **Minimum/Core Requirements**:
- Demonstrated experience in hands-on cashiering, ideally in a high-volume retail or F&B environment.
- Proficiency in operating POS systems and handling cash/cashless payment reconciliations with high accuracy.
- **Genuine Occupational Requirement (Age)**: In accordance with Health Sciences Authority (HSA) regulations for the sale and handling of tobacco and liquor products, candidates must be at least 21 years of age to perform the essential duties of this role.
- **Security Clearance**: Ability to clear mandatory background checks required for the issuance of a Changi Airport Seasonal Pass.
- **Shift Flexibility**: Full commitment to a 24/7 rotating shift roster, including mornings, afternoons, overnights, weekends, and public holidays.
- Proficiency in English is required to effectively communicate with and assist our diverse international traveler base.
- **Preferred/Bonus Requirements**:
- Previous experience in airport retail or duty-free operations.
- Familiarity with handling multiple foreign currencies and complex retail promotional codes.
- Proficiency in a second language is a plus to better serve our international customers.
