- **Role Overview**:
- As an ASIC Test Engineer, you will play a critical role in our Singapore R&D Testing Lab, supporting the development and qualification of next-generation sensory solutions. You will be responsible for the bench-level characterization of Audio/Acoustic and Haptics/Sensor ASIC chips, bridging the gap between design and high-performance hardware.
- **Key Responsibilities**:
- **Perform Precision Characterization:** Execute detailed R&D bench-level testing and wafer-level probing to validate ASIC performance against design specifications.
- **Manage Lab Operations:** Operate and troubleshoot specialized engineering equipment, including Audio Precision (AP) systems, oscilloscopes, function generators, multimeters, and probe stations.
- **Develop Test Methodologies:** Collaborate closely with R&D designers to define and refine characterization methodologies, ensuring rigorous testing of new sensory technology solutions.
- **Technical Reporting:** Analyze test findings and prepare comprehensive technical reports to help engineering teams identify and resolve complex silicon issues.
- **Drive Efficiency through Automation:** (Preferred) Utilize Python or LabVIEW to automate test sequences and instrument control, enhancing the efficiency and scalability of the characterization process.
- **Requirements**:
- **Minimum/Core Requirements:**
- A Degree or Diploma in Electronics Engineering or a strictly equivalent technical field.
- Demonstrated hands-on experience in hardware testing or characterization, with a strong understanding of electronics fundamentals and ASIC test methodologies.
- Proficiency in using standard bench lab equipment (e.g., Oscilloscopes, Multimeters, Function Generators) for manual troubleshooting and measurement.
- A proactive, curious mindset with the self-discipline to maintain high standards of precision and documentation in a busy R&D environment.
- **Preferred/Bonus Requirements:**
- Experience within the semiconductor industry (e.g., Design House, Fab, or OSAT).
- Proven experience with wafer-level probing and the operation of manual probe stations.
- Proficiency in Python or LabVIEW for test automation and instrument control.
- Familiarity with Audio Precision (AP) equipment for acoustic ASIC testing.
