- **Role Overview**:
- As a Senior Payroll Executive, you will serve as the technical anchor for our ASEAN and Hong Kong Payroll Centre of Excellence (COE). Reporting to the HR Director, you will oversee the full-cycle payroll operations for approximately 1,500 associates across five key markets: Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, and Hong Kong.
- This is a high-impact, individual contributor role designed for a payroll expert who thrives on technical accuracy, vendor management, and regional statutory compliance.
- **Key Responsibilities**:
- **End-to-End Payroll Ownership**: Manage the full-cycle payroll processing for Malaysia and Singapore, ensuring all statutory filings (e.g., EPF, SOCSO, PCB, CPF, IR8A) and internal reconciliations are completed with 100% accuracy and within strict deadlines.
- **Strategic Vendor Management**: Act as the primary point of contact for regional payroll vendors. Audit vendor outputs, resolve discrepancies, and ensure service level agreements (SLAs) are consistently met across all five jurisdictions.
- **Advanced Data Management & Reporting**: Maintain the integrity of the "source of truth" within Workday. Execute complex manual commission calculations and data reconciliations using advanced Excel functions to ensure precise payouts.
- **Regional HR Operations Support**: Support the broader HR function during critical cycles, including annual merit and bonus reviews, leave management, and benefits administration.
- **Continuous Process Improvement**: Independently resolve complex statutory discrepancies and provide expert guidance on regional employment laws and payroll practices to internal stakeholders.
- **Requirements**:
- **Minimum/Core Requirements**:
- Demonstrated experience in end-to-end regional payroll management, with specific expertise in the Malaysia and Singapore markets.
- Proven track record in managing regional payroll vendors and holding external partners accountable for accuracy and compliance.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to manage complex manual calculation sheets and data reconciliations.
- Hands-on experience with Tier-1 HRIS platforms (such as Workday, SAP, or Oracle) for employee data maintenance and reporting.
- Deep knowledge of local employment regulations and statutory requirements in Malaysia and Singapore.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to data integrity in a high-volume environment.
- **Preferred/Bonus Requirements**:
- Prior experience in a Shared Services Centre (SSC) or a regional MNC environment.
- Familiarity with statutory requirements in Thailand, Indonesia, or Hong Kong.
- Experience supporting annual compensation cycles including merit and bonus processes.
