- **Role Overview**:
- As a Sales Manager for Southeast Asia, you will act as the strategic "business owner" for our Life Sciences and Diagnostics portfolios across the region. Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will balance high-touch direct sales to key labs and institutions with the strategic management and expansion of our distributor network. This is an autonomous, high-impact role designed for a commercially-driven professional who thrives on building markets from the ground up.
- **Key Responsibilities**:
- **Drive Regional Revenue Growth:** Develop and execute sales strategies to expand the market footprint for both Life Sciences (RUO) and Diagnostics (IVD) products across Southeast Asia.
- **Direct Account Engagement:** Lead direct sales activities, engaging with key opinion leaders (KOLs), research institutions, and diagnostic centers to secure high-value partnerships.
- **Strategic Channel Management:** Oversee and optimize the performance of existing distributors while identifying and appointing new partners in "white-space" territories to ensure comprehensive market coverage.
- **Market Expansion & Strategy:** Conduct market analysis and competitor monitoring to identify growth opportunities; navigate regional procurement processes and hospital tenders effectively.
- **Cross-Functional Collaboration:** Partner with internal teams on regional product launches and promotional initiatives to align local efforts with global objectives.
- **Requirements**:
- **Minimum/Core Requirements:**
- A Diploma or Degree in Biotechnology, Biology, Chemistry, Life Sciences, or a related scientific discipline to ensure technical credibility with lab managers and researchers.
- Demonstrated sales experience within the Life Sciences, Diagnostics, or Biotechnology industries.
- Proven track record in a hybrid sales model, involving both direct high-level sales and channel/distributor management.
- Self-motivated and capable of operating independently in a regional capacity with minimal local support.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to manage diverse stakeholder relationships across Southeast Asia.
- Ability to travel within the Southeast Asian region as required to support business growth.
- **Preferred/Bonus Requirements:**
- Previous experience in "0-to-1" market development or successfully appointing new distributors in emerging SEA markets.
- Familiarity with both Research Use Only (RUO) and Clinical/In-Vitro Diagnostic (IVD) product portfolios.
- Knowledge of regional regulatory environments and public tender processes.
