- As we enter a significant scaling phase, we are looking for a commercial leader to help shape the future of retail media in Indonesia, driving innovation and growth in a fast-paced, data-driven environment.
- **Role Overview**:
- As the Retail Media Lead, you will serve as a high-impact player-coach, driving strategic revenue growth while managing a lean, high-performing team. Reporting to the Retail Media Director, you will be responsible for unlocking new advertising opportunities within the Retail and FMCG sectors. This is a 70% hunting and 30% management role, designed for a senior commercial professional who thrives on closing complex deals and building long-term, high-value partnerships.
- **Key Responsibilities**:
- **Drive Revenue Growth (Personal Hunter):** Take full ownership of the sales lifecycle—from prospecting and pitching to negotiation and closing—to secure new logos and expand our advertiser ecosystem across the Retail and FMCG verticals.
- **Build Strategic Agency Partnerships:** Leverage and expand a high-level network within major Jakarta agency groups (e.g., GroupM, Publicis, Dentsu) to position our retail media solutions as a core component of their brand strategies.
- **Team Leadership & Development:** Lead, coach, and mentor a small team, fostering a culture of high performance, pipeline discipline, and commercial excellence.
- **Execute Complex Media Solutions:** Structure and sell integrated, data-driven partnerships that encompass onsite placements, DOOH activations, and programmatic offsite ads, moving beyond standard rate cards to deliver high-ROI solutions for partners.
- **Market Expansion:** Monitor industry trends and competitive dynamics to identify new growth opportunities in emerging or non-traditional industries, shaping the go-to-market strategy.
- **Requirements**:
- **Minimum/Core Requirements:**
- **Extensive Media Sales Expertise:** Demonstrated track record in media advertising sales or business development at a Senior IC or Head level, typically involving 9 or more years of experience in high-value B2B sales.
- **Language Proficiency:** Full professional fluency in both English and Bahasa Indonesia is required to effectively navigate the local market, build relationships with local stakeholders, and negotiate complex local contracts.
- **Proven "Hunter" Instinct:** A demonstrated history of acquiring new business and closing high-value, non-standard deals in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
- **Strategic Agency Network:** An active, high-level network within major media agency groups in Jakarta is essential for immediate impact.
- **Strategic Sales Mindset:** Experience selling complex, integrated solutions (such as Programmatic, DSP/SSP, or DOOH) rather than just standard ad inventory.
- **Preferred/Bonus Requirements:**
- Direct experience or a strong existing network within the Retail and FMCG industries.
- Prior experience in people management or coaching direct reports in a sales environment.
- Familiarity with onsite e-commerce advertising (e.g., sponsored search and banners).
