- **Role Overview**:
- As our first hire in South Africa, you will be the "boots on the ground" spearheading our commercial entry into the region. This is a greenfield "market-builder" opportunity for a seasoned business development professional to build a local commercial engine from the ground up. Reporting to regional leadership, you will have the autonomy to shape our footprint in South Africa, with a clear trajectory to evolve into a Country Manager role as the operation scales.
- **Key Responsibilities**:
- **Drive Market Entry**: Establish and grow a consistent pipeline of active Introducing Brokers (IBs) and institutional clients to build VT Markets' presence in South Africa from zero.
- **Strategic Partner Management**: Identify, onboard, and manage high-value partnerships, serving as the primary point of contact and the local face of the brand.
- **Commercial Growth**: Take full ownership of net deposit targets and trading volumes, leveraging your industry expertise to convert market opportunities into measurable business impact.
- **Cross-Regional Collaboration**: Proactively navigate global HQ processes, working closely with international teams in Malaysia and Singapore to align local activities with global compliance and marketing standards.
- **Market Intelligence**: Provide local insights to help tailor VT Markets’ offerings to the South African audience, ensuring a competitive edge in the region.
- **Requirements**:
- **Minimum/Core Requirements**:
- Currently based in South Africa with the existing right to work.
- Proven track record of success in B2B Business Development within the CFD/Forex brokerage industry.
- Demonstrated experience in identifying, onboarding, and managing a robust network of Introducing Brokers (IBs).
- Exceptional self-sufficiency and the ability to thrive in a fully remote, individual contributor role without local infrastructure.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate across different time zones.
- **Preferred/Bonus Requirements**:
- Significant senior-level experience within top-tier global brokerages.
- An existing, portable network of active IBs and high-net-worth clients in the South African market.
- Familiarity with FSCA regulatory standards and local compliance requirements.
