- **Role Overview**:
- As our founding Lead Product Manager, you will professionalize the product function as we transition from an external development model to an in-house leadership core. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will own the entire product surface for SHIFT—spanning hardware, software, and content. This is a high-leverage opportunity to lead the synthesis of neuroscience and consumer technology, driving our next-generation V2 launch.
- **Key Responsibilities**:
- **Establish the Product Foundation**: Design and implement our first formal product infrastructure, including roadmaps, prioritization frameworks, and feedback loops, moving the company from ad-hoc decisions to a structured, repeatable cadence.
- **Drive the V2 Product Lifecycle**: Own the end-to-end delivery of SHIFT V2 (slated for Q2 2027), managing the integration of new hardware sensors, biofeedback software features, and a major UI overhaul.
- **Synthesize Complex Inputs**: Act as the central bridge between scientific advisors, hardware engineers, and software developers to translate complex neuroscience protocols into intuitive, market-leading consumer experiences.
- **Lead the Technical Transition**: Manage the shift from external vendor development to in-house engineering, ensuring technical continuity and high-quality execution during the organizational build-out.
- **Partner with Founders**: Work closely with the founding team to refine the product vision, earning decision-making authority through rigorous execution and clear, data-backed specs.
- **Requirements**:
- **Minimum/Core Requirements**:
- Demonstrated experience as a Product Manager in a consumer-facing environment, with a track record of taking products from discovery through to end-to-end launch.
- Extensive experience in early-stage startup environments, showing the ability to build processes from scratch and operate autonomously without a dedicated support net.
- Proven ability to write sharp, technical PRDs and specifications that require minimal clarification for engineering teams.
- Proficiency in English is required to collaborate effectively with our global founding team and scientific partners.
- A "scrappy synthesizer" mindset—comfortable navigating the trade-offs between hardware constraints, software agility, and scientific requirements.
- **Preferred/Bonus Requirements**:
- Experience in the IoT, connected device, or consumer hardware space.
- Proficiency in Business Mandarin is required to effectively manage relationships with local manufacturing partners and vendors in the Shenzhen ecosystem.
