- **Role Overview**:
- We are looking for a results-driven "player-coach" to lead our Greater China (GCN) and Hong Kong Business Development sub-team. Reporting to the Regional Sales Head, you will be responsible for elevating the performance of an existing team of Business Development Executives while simultaneously managing your own book of business.
- This is a critical leadership hire designed to drive market expansion and establish VT Markets as a dominant player in the GCN and Hong Kong financial landscapes.
- **Key Responsibilities**:
- **Drive Team Performance & Growth**: Lead and coach an established team of Business Development Executives, implementing rigorous performance cadences to improve closing ratios and increase total net deposits and revenue from the GCN/HK/Macau markets.
- **Strategic Market Expansion**: Identify and execute expansion opportunities within Hong Kong and Macau, establishing new Introducing Broker (IB) partnerships and deepening our regional footprint.
- **Operational Leadership**: Navigate the complex regulatory landscape of the mainland China and Hong Kong CFD/FX markets, ensuring all team activities are compliant and strategically aligned with market dynamics.
- **Sales Excellence**: Maintain personal sales momentum by managing a high-value portfolio, serving as a lead-by-example specialist in product knowledge and negotiation.
- **Collaborative Strategy**: Partner with the GCN Marketing and Operations teams to refine outreach strategies and competitor analysis, providing management leverage for the regional leadership.
- **Requirements**:
- **Minimum/Core Requirements**:
- Demonstrated experience in a leadership or people management role within a sales or business development function.
- Significant professional experience in the CFD/FX industry; this expertise is essential for coaching team members and navigating the specific regulatory requirements of the region.
- Professional proficiency in Mandarin is required to effectively engage, negotiate, and manage relationships with stakeholders and clients in the Greater China market.
- Professional fluency in English for internal reporting and regional collaboration.
- Proven track record in B2B sales or account management within financial markets, with a focus on Hong Kong or Greater China.
- Must have the legal right to work in Malaysia.
- **Preferred/Bonus Requirements**:
- Proficiency in Cantonese is a significant advantage for engaging with the Hong Kong market.
- An established network of Introducing Brokers (IBs) or a deep understanding of the GCN client landscape.
- Familiarity with CRM systems and sales analytics to drive data-informed performance management.
