- **Role Overview**:
- As the Senior HR Business Partner for our 70-person Marketing function in Malaysia, you will transition the HR-Business relationship from a transactional model to a proactive, strategic partnership. Reporting to the HRBP Manager, you will serve as a trusted advisor to Marketing leadership, guiding them through rapid scaling, talent assessment, and organizational capability building.
- **Key Responsibilities**:
- **Strategic People Partnership:** Act as a strategic peer to Marketing leadership, diagnosing organizational needs and implementing people strategies that align directly with business growth and performance.
- **Leadership Coaching & Maturity:** Coach and upskill functional managers in core people management competencies, including talent assessment, performance tracking, and effective team structuring.
- **Workforce Planning & ROI:** Own the talent roadmap for the Marketing group, ensuring every headcount addition is strategically justified and contributes to measurable manpower productivity (Manpower ROI).
- **Talent Assessment:** Partner with leaders to elevate the quality of hiring by refining competency-based interviewing and selection processes within the function.
- **Operational Excellence:** Oversee localized HR operations for the Malaysia team, ensuring compliance with local regulations and maintaining a high standard of employee experience within a fast-paced environment.
- **Requirements**:
- **Minimum/Core Requirements**:
- Demonstrated experience as a Strategic HR Business Partner, with a proven track record of influencing senior business stakeholders and driving workforce planning.
- A professional background that blends the process discipline of a Multinational Corporation (MNC) with the speed and adaptability of a high-growth startup or fintech environment.
- Proven ability to navigate high-intensity, fast-paced industries (e.g., Fintech, Tech, E-commerce, or Financial Services).
- Exceptional communication skills in English for regional coordination and business reporting.
- Proficiency in conversational Mandarin is required to effectively communicate and build trust with specific stakeholders and team members who primarily operate in Mandarin.
- Must be authorized to work in Malaysia.
- **Preferred/Bonus Requirements**:
- Prior experience in the Fintech or Financial Services industry.
- Regional APAC HR exposure, with experience navigating cross-border HR dynamics.
- Knowledge of Malaysia Labor Law and Employment Act.
