- **Role Overview**:
- We are seeking a high-autonomy "market-builder" to spearhead our expansion into the Portugal market. In this remote-first role, you will operate as an "intrapreneur," leveraging your deep industry expertise and established network to establish VT Markets' presence in a key European territory. Reporting to the Business Development Director based in Australia, you will have the independence to shape local strategy and drive immediate commercial impact.
- **Key Responsibilities**:
- **Drive Market Expansion:** Act as the primary growth engine for the Portugal market, identifying and securing high-value partnerships to establish a robust local footprint.
- **Strategic Partner Acquisition:** Proactively source, engage, and convert a personal portfolio of Introducing Brokers (IBs) and partners into the VT Markets ecosystem.
- **Autonomous Territory Management:** Manage the full sales lifecycle and troubleshoot partner requirements independently, ensuring seamless operations across significant time zone differences.
- **Collaborative Growth:** Partner closely with global marketing and client relations teams to align local market insights with our global infrastructure and execution standards.
- **Requirements**:
- **Minimum/Core Requirements**:
- **Established Industry Network:** A portable and active book of Introducing Broker (IB) or partner relationships within the CFD/Forex industry.
- **Sector Expertise:** Demonstrated experience in a Business Development or Sales capacity within the CFD brokerage space, with a deep understanding of partner models and deal structures.
- **Language Proficiency (GOR):** Native or Advanced proficiency in Portuguese is required to effectively negotiate with local partners and navigate the regulatory landscape in Portugal. Professional proficiency in English is required for internal communication with our global leadership and support teams.
- **Self-Sufficiency:** A proven ability to operate effectively in a remote environment with minimal day-to-day oversight, making informed judgment calls in a fast-paced setting.
- **Preferred/Bonus Requirements**:
- **Track Record of Success:** A history of meeting or exceeding commercial growth and net deposit targets in a competitive environment.
- **Regional Scope:** Experience managing IB networks across broader European markets (e.g., Spain, France) in addition to Portugal.
- **Greenfield Experience:** Prior experience in market entry or selling in environments with evolving brand recognition.
