- **Location**: Bandar Tenggara, Johor, Malaysia (Fully Onsite)
- **Company Overview**:
- Mindteck is a global engineering and technology solutions provider with a deep-rooted history of delivering complex automation and IT services to top-tier industrial clients. We specialize in bridging the gap between hardware and software, helping our partners optimize their manufacturing capabilities through innovative control systems and smart engineering.
- At Mindteck, we value technical excellence and a "hands-on" approach. Joining our team in Johor means working at the heart of production, where your engineering expertise directly impacts the efficiency and success of world-class manufacturing lines.
- **Role Overview**:
- We are looking for a technically self-sufficient PLC Automation Engineer to take immediate ownership of machine control systems within our manufacturing environment. Reporting to the Client Manager, you will be the primary technical driver for PLC programming and electrical design. Your core mission will be to ensure the seamless continuity of automation projects, moving them from design through to execution with precision and technical rigor.
- **Key Responsibilities**:
- **PLC Programming & Execution:** Lead the end-to-end development and modification of control programs primarily using Allen Bradley (ControlLogix/RSLogix 5000) to ensure high-performance machine operations.
- **Electrical Systems Design:** Design and implement robust electrical power distribution systems and control panels, ensuring all hardware configurations meet modern manufacturing standards.
- **System Integration:** Integrate and fine-tune motion control systems (servos) and machine vision inspection tools to enhance production line accuracy and automation.
- **Technical Project Continuity:** Proactively audit existing logic and documentation to resume and complete in-progress projects, maintaining a steady cadence of delivery to project specifications.
- **Cross-Functional Collaboration:** Partner closely with Project Managers to provide technical updates, resolve hardware-software conflicts, and ensure all automation solutions are aligned with production goals.
- **Requirements**:
- **Minimum/Core Requirements:**
- Demonstrated proficiency in Allen Bradley PLC ecosystems, with specific, hands-on experience in RSLogix 5000 or ControlLogix.
- Proven track record in a manufacturing or production environment, showing the ability to manage the technical lifecycle of industrial automation projects.
- Strong background in electrical design, including power distribution and the ability to interpret and create complex electrical drawings.
- Experience with motion control fundamentals and the integration of servo systems.
- Professional working proficiency in English to effectively collaborate with international stakeholders and maintain technical documentation.
- Ability to work fully onsite at the facility in Bandar Tenggara, Johor.
- **Preferred/Bonus Requirements:**
- Experience integrating and tuning Machine Vision systems.
- Knowledge of CE Machine Safety standards and safety system logic design.
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- **Why you should be interested**:
- **Pure Technical Focus:** This is an ideal role for an engineer who thrives on the "logic" and "hardware" side of automation. You will focus on your technical craft without the overhead of people management.
- **High Autonomy:** You will have the independence to own your tasks and make critical technical decisions on the shop floor, backed by a supportive project management structure.
- **Stable & Established Environment:** Work in a highly standardized environment with clear technical benchmarks and a steady roadmap of projects.
- **Immediate Impact:** Your ability to pick up and drive projects forward will be highly visible, making you a key contributor to the facility's operational success from day one.
