- **Role Overview**:
- We are seeking our first Business Development Manager in Kenya to lead our expansion into the East African market from the ground up. This is a high-stakes, greenfield opportunity where you will serve as our sole commercial representative on the ground. Your mission is to build VT Markets' presence from zero, driving measurable growth through the direct acquisition of retail traders and the strategic development of local partnerships.
- **Key Responsibilities**:
- **Drive Market Entry:** Spearhead our commercial launch in Kenya, acting as the primary brand ambassador and market explorer to establish a foothold in a new territory.
- **Lead Retail Acquisition (B2C):** Identify, engage, and convert retail traders directly. You will be responsible for building a loyal community of active traders and driving significant net deposits through high-touch outreach.
- **Strategic Partner Development:** Source and manage high-value Introducing Brokers (IBs) and partners, leveraging your network to scale volume and expand our regional reach.
- **Market Intelligence & Trust Building:** Navigate the local landscape to position our offshore value proposition effectively. You will be responsible for overcoming trust barriers and educating the market on VT Markets' global infrastructure.
- **Autonomous Execution:** Operate with high self-sufficiency as a remote contributor, managing your own pipeline and coordinating with our global headquarters to ensure seamless support for your clients.
- **Requirements**:
- **Minimum/Core Requirements:**
- Demonstrated experience in the CFD/Forex brokerage industry, with a deep understanding of retail trading dynamics.
- Proven track record of high performance in sales, specifically in generating significant net deposits and acquiring retail (B2C) clients.
- Strong existing network within the Kenyan or East African financial trading community.
- Exceptional ability to build trust and legitimacy when representing offshore financial products in a competitive market.
- Highly self-disciplined with the ability to thrive in a 100% remote, solo-contributor environment.
- Professional proficiency in English.
- **Preferred/Bonus Requirements:**
- Experience as an early-stage hire or founding member of a market expansion team.
- Deep familiarity with the Kenyan regulatory landscape (CMA) and local market nuances.
- A "hunter" mindset with a history of building sales pipelines from scratch without inbound leads.
