Job Description

- **Location**: Singapore (Hybrid - 3 days in-office)

- **Role Overview**:
- We are looking for an early-career Software Engineer to join our Mobile Engineering team in Singapore. You will play a key role in the continued development of our mobile application—the primary interface for our platform.
- This is a high-impact position where you will contribute to a live, scaling product. You will work within a fluid, fast-paced environment, moving from general contribution to owning a major functional module of the application within your first year.
- **Key Responsibilities**:
- **Feature Development & Delivery**: Design, build, and ship new features for a live mobile application used by a global user base, ensuring high performance and a seamless user experience.
- **Codebase Navigation & Optimization**: Proactively navigate and contribute to an existing codebase, identifying opportunities for improvement and maintaining high code quality.
- **Cross-functional Collaboration**: Work closely with a distributed team of engineers across multiple time zones to align on technical roadmaps and product goals.
- **Technical Problem Solving**: Take initiative to research and resolve complex technical challenges, seeking out information and collaborating with senior contributors to drive projects forward.
- **Requirements**:
- **Minimum/Core Requirements**:
- Strong foundational knowledge of software engineering principles and programming fundamentals, demonstrated through a professional portfolio or personal projects.
- Demonstrated experience or exposure to mobile application development (e.g., through internships, personal projects, or professional experience).
- A proactive, self-directed mindset with the ability to navigate ambiguity and adapt to shifting priorities in a fast-moving environment.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on collaborative problem-solving within a technical team.
- **Preferred/Bonus Requirements**:
- Familiarity with modern mobile frameworks such as React Native, Flutter, Swift, or Kotlin.
- Experience working within a distributed or global engineering organization.
