- **Role Overview**:
- This is a high-impact, "player-coach" leadership opportunity designed for an entrepreneurial sales professional. As a Business Development Team Leader, you will be a foundational member of our newly established Kuala Lumpur operational hub, specifically dedicated to the Indian market. You will carry an individual portfolio while simultaneously laying the groundwork to recruit, mentor, and lead your own sub-team of high-performing business development professionals.
- **Key Responsibilities**:
- **Drive Market Expansion**: Lead the strategic penetration of the Indian market from our Kuala Lumpur hub, focusing on the acquisition of traders and Introducing Brokers (IBs) through sophisticated digital and phone-based outreach.
- **Deliver Immediate Commercial Impact**: Leverage your existing professional network and market expertise to generate consistent net deposits and trading volume from day one.
- **Build and Mentor a Team**: Transition into a leadership role by identifying, hiring, and managing a sub-team of BD professionals, defining the operating rhythm and excellence standards for the India-focused desk.
- **B2B Relationship Management**: Identify and develop long-term partnerships with IBs and affiliates, providing them with the tools and support needed to scale their business on the VT Markets platform.
- **Strategic Pipeline Management**: Utilize CRM tools to maintain a robust sales pipeline, providing clear reporting and market insights to the Sales Director to inform regional strategy.
- **Requirements**:
- **Minimum/Core Requirements**:
- **Portable Professional Network**: A proven and active book of client or Introducing Broker (IB) relationships within the Indian market that can be successfully transitioned and serviced remotely.
- **Industry Expertise**: Strong experience within the CFD or FX brokerage industry, with a deep understanding of trading products and market dynamics.
- **Language Proficiency (GOR)**: Professional fluency in English and Hindi is required. This is essential for building high-trust relationships, conducting negotiations, and effectively communicating with our primary client base and partners in the Indian market.
- **Proven Sales Track Record**: A demonstrated ability to self-source leads and drive net deposit growth through proactive outreach.
- **Leadership Potential**: Demonstrated readiness or prior experience in leading, coaching, or building a sales team in a high-pressure environment.
- **Operational Base**: Candidates must currently be based in Malaysia or possess the legal right to work in Kuala Lumpur.
- **Preferred/Bonus Requirements**:
- Prior experience in executive-level B2B acquisition or affiliate management.
- Familiarity with selling offshore financial value propositions and navigating competitive market landscapes.
- Proficiency in modern CRM systems and sales management tools.
