- **Role Overview**:
- As the Platform (PaaS/CaaS) Infrastructure Lead, you will play a pivotal role in a major new project from its inception. This "Build-to-Operate" role combines technical leadership with hands-on engineering, where you will lead a team of 4–6 infrastructure specialists to stand up and manage an enterprise-grade container platform from scratch. You will bridge the gap between technical delivery and stakeholder management, ensuring a secure and resilient environment for mission-critical applications.
- **Key Responsibilities**:
- **Platform Architecture & Stand-up**: Lead the end-to-end setup and configuration of the container orchestration layer (Kubernetes/CaaS) and the surrounding platform ecosystem.
- **Enterprise Tooling Integration**: Manage and integrate a diverse suite of COTS software, including message queuing (IBM MQ), databases (MongoDB, MSSQL), and web servers (Nginx), ensuring seamless performance and interoperability.
- **Security & Compliance Leadership**: Drive the platform’s security accreditation by implementing strict "golden image" compliance, vulnerability remediation, and defense-level hardening protocols.
- **Operational Excellence**: Establish Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and observability stacks (e.g., Grafana, ELK) to transition the environment from the build phase to steady-state, SLA-driven operations.
- **Team Management & Stakeholder Diplomacy**: Directly mentor and coordinate the workload of a team of 4–6 engineers while acting as the primary technical point of contact for client stakeholders and application teams.
- **Requirements**:
- **Minimum/Core Requirements**:
- **Citizenship**: Due to the nature of the project and the requirement for high-level security clearance, this role is open to Singapore Citizens only.
- **Team Leadership**: Proven experience managing and mentoring a team of at least 4–6 engineers in a project-driven environment.
- **Container Expertise**: Deep, hands-on experience in standing up and operating enterprise Kubernetes or container platforms (Docker, Podman).
- **Systems Engineering**: Strong Linux System Administration skills, including OS hardening, performance tuning, and complex troubleshooting.
- **Operational Mindset**: Ability to work 100% onsite in Ang Mo Kio, thriving in a disciplined, highly regulated, and security-conscious environment.
- **Preferred/Bonus Requirements**:
- Experience with enterprise COTS management (e.g., IBM MQ, ArcGIS, MongoDB).
- Prior experience working within government or defense-adjacent technology frameworks.
- Proficiency in infrastructure automation tools such as Ansible, Shell, or Python.
