- **Role Overview**:
- We are seeking a Junior Full Stack Software Engineer to join our Engineering team. In this role, you will be a key contributor to our mobile and backend services, focusing on the application layer. Reporting directly to the Director of Engineering, you will take ownership of user-facing features and play a vital role in moving our agentic AI prototypes into production-grade environments.
- **Key Responsibilities**:
- **Drive Mobile & Web Development**: Take ownership of shipping mobile features using React Native, ensuring high performance and a seamless user experience.
- **Develop Scalable Backend Services**: Utilize Python and JavaScript/TypeScript to build and maintain robust services that power our AI-driven products.
- **Implement Applied AI**: Collaborate with leadership to productionize agentic workflows, integrating Large Language Models (LLMs) and multi-step reasoning tasks into live services.
- **Maintain High Engineering Standards**: Write clean, reliable, and observable code that meets the rigorous quality and security standards required for both public and private sector projects.
- **Active Collaboration**: Engage in rapid sprint cycles and participate in frequent in-person collaborative sessions to solve complex technical challenges and meet project milestones.
- **Requirements**:
- **Minimum/Core Requirements**:
- Demonstrated proficiency in React Native with a track record of building and deploying mobile applications.
- Strong foundational skills in Python and JavaScript/TypeScript for full-stack application development.
- Ability to obtain and maintain the necessary security clearances required to work on sensitive public sector and government-grade projects.
- A "builder" mindset with a strong sense of ownership and the ability to ship features in a fast-moving, high-velocity environment.
- Availability to begin the role by September to align with our upcoming project roadmap.
- Flexibility to work in a hybrid model that requires high physical availability for urgent, collaborative in-office sessions.
- **Preferred/Bonus Requirements**:
- Demonstrated experience in professional software engineering or high-intensity internships with a similar stack.
- Familiarity with Docker and containerized development environments.
- Interest in or experience with Golang for backend service optimization.
- A strong desire to learn or prior exposure to LLM-ops and agentic AI workflows.
