- **Role Overview**:
- We are looking for a resilient and technically skilled Service Engineer to join our aftersales service team. In this critical role, you will ensure the operational integrity of our pumping systems by leading commissioning, inspections, and complex repairs. You will be the technical face of Framo, delivering high-standard troubleshooting and support on board vessels, in shipyards, and within our specialized workshop.
- **Key Responsibilities**:
- **Technical Troubleshooting & Repair**: Diagnose and resolve complex electrical and mechanical failures within PLC-based control systems and hydraulic pumping systems to minimize vessel downtime.
- **Commissioning & Inspection**: Lead the testing and commissioning of new systems and conduct periodic inspections to ensure all equipment operates at peak performance and meets safety standards.
- **Technical Reporting**: Prepare comprehensive, high-quality technical reports in English following every service engagement to maintain accurate records and ensure client satisfaction.
- **Requirements**:
- **Minimum/Core Requirements**:
- A relevant Diploma or Nitec in Mechanical, Electrical, Marine Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Demonstrated experience in marine or offshore service, with a focus on field-based troubleshooting and repair.
- Working knowledge of PLC-based control systems and hydraulic systems; this is essential for the technical demands of the role.
- Proven hands-on ability to perform both electrical and mechanical repairs and testing.
- Proficiency in Business English is required to effectively interact with vessel crews and produce detailed technical documentation for international stakeholders.
- Flexibility to undertake occasional overseas travel and work irregular hours/shifts as required by vessel schedules and shipyard dockings.
- **Physical Capacity (Genuine Occupational Requirement)**: This role requires the ability to safely navigate and perform manual tasks within the demanding physical environments of shipyards and marine vessels.
- **Preferred/Bonus Requirements**:
- Prior experience with automation or instrumentation systems.
- Previous experience working with a Marine OEM or specialized shipyard service firm.
