- **Role Overview**:
- As a Customer Service Engineer, you will serve as the technical face of Makino at customer sites across Asia and Europe. You will play a vital role in ensuring machine uptime by diagnosing and repairing high-precision CNC and EDM systems. This role is designed for a technically fearless individual who thrives on solving complex mechanical and electrical challenges while maintaining strong professional relationships with international clients.
- **Key Responsibilities**:
- **Technical Troubleshooting & Repair**: Diagnose and resolve complex mechanical, electrical, and software issues on high-precision CNC machining centers and EDM systems to minimize customer downtime.
- **Independent Service Delivery**: Successfully transition from initial technical training to managing solo on-site visits, serving as the primary expert responsible for restoring machines to optimal working order.
- **Customer Relationship Management**: Act as a professional ambassador for Makino, communicating clearly with clients during high-pressure downtime situations to ensure a positive service experience.
- **International Deployment**: Execute regional and international service assignments, including frequent short-term travel and potential long-term overseas deployments (ranging from 3 months to 2 years) to support global operations.
- **Technical Documentation**: Read and interpret complex mechanical and electrical drawings to facilitate accurate repairs and provide detailed reporting on service outcomes.
- **Requirements**:
- **Minimum/Core Requirements**:
- Demonstrated hands-on experience in the service, troubleshooting, and repair of CNC machining centers or similar high-precision manufacturing equipment.
- Cross-disciplinary technical proficiency, with the ability to diagnose faults across mechanical, electrical, and software domains.
- Proven ability to read and interpret technical mechanical and electrical blueprints and drawings.
- Excellent communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to manage customer expectations and maintain professionalism under pressure.
- Full flexibility and willingness to undertake frequent international travel and extended overseas assignments of up to 2 years.
- Physical ability to safely maneuver and lift machine components and equipment required for on-site repair and installation tasks in a manufacturing environment.
- **Preferred/Bonus Requirements**:
- Proficiency in Business Mandarin is highly advantageous to facilitate technical coordination and support operations with partners and clients in the North Asia market.
- Prior experience with Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM) systems (Wire/Sinker).
- A Diploma in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering or a related technical field.
